If you’ve never bought an original painting before, I wanted to help you get to grips with the process | what you’re buying, how pricing tends to work, and where to go next.
What you’re buying
Each listing is a one-of-a-kind oil painting on canvas (unless otherwise stated). “Available” means the actual piece you see can be sold; “Sold” means similar work may be possible on commission — not a print of the same image unless we agree that separately.
Price and practicalities
Price reflects size, complexity, and availability. Framing and shipping are sorted per piece — the artwork page and checkout (where applicable) spell out what applies to you.
If you’re comparing to prints or reproductions, originals cost more because you’re buying the one-off work, the original that nobody else, myself included, can have in your space..
A simple path
- Browse available work in the catalogue — filter by what draws you in.
- Enquire or buy from the piece’s page when you’re ready; we’ll confirm availability and next steps.
- Commission if you want something built around a place, size, or mood — read how that works.
