I had not come across this piece when I painted my Golden Moments scene. Someone mentioned the resemblance to me and I was blown away by the parallels.
My Dusk Gulls paintingis another Van Gogh esque painting (Café Terrace at Night (Place du Forum, Arles)) that is actually a homage to Hopper’s Nighthawks. It seems the Van Gogh influences are strong in me.
