I visited Havana in 2007, what a place. Full of energy and verve… and bloody hot!
La Bodeguita Del Medio is the home of the Mojito (food wasn’t great though). I loved Havana. That faded splendour, like an older woman of nobility who can no longer afford much, but carries herself properly, as a person of breeding might.
The old cars are fantastic too.
In this painting I wanted to bring heat and light and movement to the scene.
