This page is not as instructive as Making a Mark, but it’s my view of the episode and importantly a place where fans of the show can vote for their winner!
Episode 7
PAOTY – Series 11
For links to the artists check Making a Mark Blog, but here’s my summary: The sitters were Kevin McCloud, Heather Mills and Martha Kearney.
Heather was a particularly striking sitter with a strong idea of what she wanted. I think that was either a catalyst or a bit overwhelming for some. Kevin obviously loves art and was the sitter I’d have wanted given a choice.
Another week of high standards, but I think we’ve reached the point where you have no chance unless you take on the full pose, so it really does mean that loose painters who don’t layout in pencil first and go for it are the ones that will get shortlisted.
For me, the final three were: Sophia, and Paul and Rosie (although I could make a case for Neil and Fletcher!) my winner? Paul, but what about you? Which was yours?
